After my encounter with the demon, me and Tara continued with our work at gathering resources and building the wall. We worked until it started getting a bit dark out, and then we went to the top of the outpost to relax and talk by the campfire.
"I wonder what fate has planned for us," I said. "I wonder if we'll ever see Willow Creek 1994 again."
"It's uncertain if we'll ever return to Willow Creek 1994, but at least we are here in British Columbia together," Tara replied. "If we can't leave, then maybe there's a way to restore British Columbia to its once beautiful self."
"That would involve having to prevent an upcoming demonic apocalypse," I said. "And that's on top of the ruins that the falling stars have already left British Columbia in."
"I know, it does sound impossible," Tara replied. "But we still have hope and luck, Ricky!"
"Yeah, that hope and luck," I said. "I hope that hope and luck will make sure that we have a positive fate."
"Only time and fate will tell, Ricky!" Tara replied.
I laughed. "Good one!"
"I had to add a bit of humor to that!" Tara responded.
Me and Tara laughed.
Although me and Tara's fate is uncertain, she is right about that hope and luck. We have to continue onward and see where fate will ultimately take us, and we have to hope for the best. Maybe with this hope and luck, everything will work out in the end. That includes me and Tara returning to Willow Creek 1994 and getting married.
