A Drifter

As me and Tara continued to talk and have our fish, a man approached us. He was speaking to us, but we couldn't understand him.
"I don't know what he's trying to say," I said to Tara.
"Neither do I," she replied.
The man continued to speak to us. He even pointed to the direction where me and Tara saw that light coming from the other night.
"I'm sorry, but we just don't know what you're trying to say to us," Tara said to the man.

The man eventually stopped talking to us and walked off in the direction where we saw that light coming from the other night.
"That was weird," I said to Tara.
"He must be one of those drifters that Arthur was telling us about," Tara replied. "I wonder what he was trying to say to us."

A drifter... Arthur described drifters as people from other worlds and times that have ended up getting trapped here in British Columbia. That man did leave in the same direction where me and Tara saw that light coming from the other night. Maybe we should check out that area soon. There might be something over there that can offer us some answers on how to get back to the world of the future.
