Taking a Break

After gathering up all of the fish and the items that Tara snagged while fishing, we went back to the camp to take a break.
"I'm glad that we had a much better day fishing today," I said to Tara. "All of this fish should last us a little while."
"We may have caught too much though, Ricky," Tara replied. "I don't think we'll be able to consume all of the fish before some of it gets spoiled."
"I was thinking about that myself," I responded. "But I think I've come up with a solution."
"What do you have in mind?" Tara asked.
"Well, I'm thinking of making an outdoor cooler," I said. "It'll be water-based."
"Interesting," Tara responded.
"I have an idea on how to make it, and I think it'll actually work," I said.

I've never made an outdoor cooler before, but I do know a lot about preserving food, and keeping the temperatures below room level will definitely help slow the growth of bacteria. Sure, the idea that I have in mind may not be as good as a fridge, but if we could even get an extra couple of days of preservation, then that still works for me.
