After we called it a night from fishing, me and Tara head back to the camp to cook up the fish. As I was trying to light up the campfire with some survival techniques that I learned, my hand got a little too close to the flames and caught on fire. Fortunately, I was able to extinguish the fire quickly, but man did it ever fucking hurt getting burned like that!
"Ricky!" Tara shouted. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah," I'm fine. "It could've been worst."
"You have to be more careful," Tara said.
I was looking at my hand. "I know..."

After making a second attempt to light the campfire, I was successful.
"There we go," I said. "We can start cooking up that fish."
"How's your hand?" Tara asked. "Do you want me to cook the fish?"
"I should be fine," I replied. "I put out the flames pretty fast, so I just got a little sizzled."
Tara brushed up against me. "I'm glad that you're okay, Ricky."
"Thanks, babe," I said. "I promise that I'll be more careful going forward."
"Good!" Tara replied. "But, I believe you already told me that back in the world of the future though."
I remained silent.
Tara had a smirk across her face.

I was pretty damn lucky that I put out that fire on my hand as fast as I did because it could have been a much uglier situation. Reminder to self... be more careful! Well, I'm going to get started on cooking this damn fish before I accidentally drop it in the fire!
