It was late into the night, and me, Tara, and Genevieve spent some time together reflecting on some memories.
"Look at all of those stars," I said. "It's such a beautiful scene."
Tara looked deep into the sky. "Just to think that Willow Creek is somewhere out there."
"I wonder what it looks like now," Genevieve said. "I wonder if the Blue Velvet is still around."
As much as I'm starting to get used to this new time and world, I still can't help but miss Willow Creek. If we're like 15+ years into the future, I could only imagine that a lot has changed there.
"Man, do I ever miss slamming back the drinks at the Blue Velvet," I said. "We've had so many good times there."
"Yeah, a lot of good drunken fun, pal!" Genevieve replied.
"Ricky, do you remember the time when we were at the Blue Velvet and you did that piano performance?" Tara asked. "You are so good with the piano."
"Thanks, Tara," I replied. "I do remember."
I loved playing the piano. Although I'll probably never find one here in this time and world, my smartphone still has all of my apps and virtual instruments to compose music. One of these days when I got the time, I'm gonna have to sit down and make a new composition. Maybe I'll start composing music about my experiences here in this time and world.
"I remember the good time we all had celebrating the end of 1992," Genevieve said. "It sucked that I had to leave early to go bartending though."
"1992," I replied. "It seems so far away..."
"I remember that night so vividly," Tara said. "Ricky, that impression you did that night was just so hilarious!"
I let out a loud laugh. "Good times!"
I wonder if we'll ever have those kinds of good times again. Heck, I'd be happy if I could just get some booze.
"Speaking of good times with good friends," I said. "We better start searching for Stephon and Brian soon."
"I agree," Tara replied.
"My poor, Brian," Genevieve said with a sad look on her face. "I wish I could kiss you again right now."
"Wait, you guys kissed?" I asked.
"Yeah, right before we went through the portal," Genevieve replied. "We really hit it off that day at the park, and he even asked me to be his girlfriend."
"That is really nice to hear, Genevieve," Tara said. "I'm so happy for you two."
"Thanks, Tara," Genevieve replied.
"Our plan worked after all," I quietly whispered to Tara.
"I'm so happy it did," Tara quietly whispered back.
Well, it's good to hear that Genevieve and Brian got into a relationship. It kinda sucks though that they got separated so soon after going through the portal. As soon as I'm fully recovered, I think it's probably a good idea that we start searching for Stephon and Brian as soon as possible. It's a dangerous world out there, and their lives are at great risk.
