It was getting dark out, and me and the ladies went inside the castle to try and come up with a strategy to defeat the queen crocodile.
"There appeared to be something that looked like a door in the queen crocodile's lair," I said. "I bet there's something important behind it."
"We have to come up with a strategy to defeat that monster if we want to continue exploring that cave," Tara replied. "My arrows were barely doing any damage to it."
"Based on the size of that thing, I think we're going to need better weapons," Genevieve said.
I think Genevieve was probably right when she said that we needed better weapons. Tara's arrows weren't doing much damage to it, and I don't think my sword was either. Its hide was like steel.
"I don't know where we're gonna get better weapons," I said. "The weapons that we have are already the best that I can forge with my skill."
"Perhaps we would stand a better chance if all of us were using bows," Tara suggested. "If we keep our range or get onto a high enough rock where it can't reach us, then maybe we could slowly kill it with arrows."
"That doesn't sound like a bad idea at all," Genevieve replied. "It's better to keep our range than to face something so huge right up front."
I was briefly lost in deep thought. "I think that's probably our best option as of right now."
"Of course though," Tara said. "We won't be doing anything until your fully recovered, Ricky."
"Yeah, I know," I replied. "However, I can at least make me and Genevieve a bow to get started."
"That would be great," Genevieve said. "I could use some archery practice before we follow through with this plan."
It kinda sucks that I can't make us any better weapons with my current skill in forging, but I think Tara's plan might actually work. It's our best chance we got against the queen crocodile. I guess me and Genevieve will have to spend the next little while in archery practice. Tara can help us out with that.
